Christmas baking day

the girls in my family have a tradition of getting together every december for "baking day" it is so much fun. we always choose several yummy things to make and spend all day baking and hanging out while the kids "help" us and taste test everything. this year my grandmother had just moved here from virginia and she was able to join us! it was great. unfortunately i didn't get a picture with my mom in it. that really sucks because it was the last day before she broke her hip. yes, my mom broke her hip early the following morning... just in time for moving into their new house and getting everything ready for Christmas. my mom is such a trooper. she is so strong and used to doing everything for everyone and now she will get to be taken care of! i'm sorry this had to happen at such a bad time (i guess there is no good time to break your hip.) i am so grateful for my sister and all the help. i love you mom and i know you'll be back on your feet in no time.
