Ellouise

she is a squishy little thing who loves to cuddle

her mama, who, coincidentally  loves to cuddle her as well.  

these were taken when she was 5 weeks old.

she makes some of the funniest faces, 

and they're all over the place 

from happy to disgusted to lazy cross eyes to somewhat expressionless.  

I really could just stare at her all day.  

one of these days i'll get her birth story on here.  It's only taken 5 weeks to get something posted.  

life with a new baby is such a mystery.  

I feel so busy all the time, but feel like I do almost nothing.  

summer swimming...

before school got out, Aiden had a jog-a-thon fundraiser. it was our first, so we pledged several dollars a lap... turns out he can run a lot! 36 laps later we regretted our pledge. Aiden had a blast , even though he was worn out.

...and for some reason drew was worn out just by watching.

the day was a success, and the school raised lots of money, yay!

28 weeks

back in may I went to encinitas for a yoga retreat.

it was wonderful!

Milestone at our house this week...

Aiden lost his first tooth. So fun, and sad for me that my baby is getting so big.

I am a little embarrassed that i didn't research how much a tooth is going for these days. the day after the toothfairy came aiden was asking me why his cousin got more money for his teeth...

ummm, i said i wasn't sure, but it could be because he's older??? the price of teeth increases the older you get???

That seemed to satisfy his curiosity, whew I almost blew it!

feeling pretty good

21 weeks

I've been feeling pretty good these days.

I can feel baby girl moving everyday and I love that part!

It is getting harder to move and bend forward.

Seriously though, I think yoga is why i'm feeling so good. I need it an I can tell when I don't practice. Yay for yoga!

Since i'm plugging it anyways, I might as well mention that my prenatal class is on Saturday mornings now at 11:15am. (it will be for the next several weeks)

20 week ultrasound

(this was last week)

she was moving like crazy... doing cute yoga poses with her legs.

It's really weird knowing the sex, but really fun! I'm glad we found out what we're having.

I am officially feeling her move. What a relief from all that worrying. Seeing her and feeling her move, I definitely feel pregnant and I love it!

17 weeks

Bump growing...at my doc appt he asked if I was feeling movement

I thought maybe once, but he said it would get more regular...

so, for the next 4 weeks I was worrying cause I felt practically nothing. The little butterfly flutters is what he was talking about, but seriously, he needs to be more specific.

You'd think being the 3rd time I've done this I would know or remember the baby kicking is much later, when she's bigger, but nope.

Catching Up...

I'm so slow getting these up.

13 Weeks

Smiling cause the nausea was starting to go away. My belly popped out so quick this time.

I wasn't really feeling pregnant... hadn't sunk in yet.

I LOVE Baby Girl clothes!!!

I'm in for some trouble! My baby shopping has just started and I still have 4 or more months before our little one gets here...

I am trying to be a frugal shopper and now there are so many websites where you can get

great stuff, discounted. Love that!

Christmas has come and gone...

home projects

so i don't have the best before picture of the kitchen island, but it was brown with a grey laminent counter top...

we had to sand...

and after several layers of paint...

and a new butcher board counter top...

it's done, and i loved how it turned out. brightens up the whole kitchen. now, if only i could find some stools that i like.

our summer in collages...

i can't believe summer is almost over...sad. i'll have both my boys gone during part of the week. pre-school and kindergarten start way too soon. here are parts of our summer, it sure has been a good one.

kids yoga camp...

we just finished up our first week of kid's yoga camp at it's yoga. The next one is in August. It was so fun. Drew thoroughly surprised me with how into it he was. (he was only distracted 2 of the 5 days... not bad at all! I had a great time and the kids were fantastic! the week itself was extremely busy for me, so I was a little tired this morning. but I can't wait for the next camp. Aug. 2nd- 6th!

lost all desire to blog

to whom it may concern, I have lost my desire to blog. what is wrong with me? I just now checked up on all my friends to see how their lives are and it took me so long. I feel a little selfish keeping my life all to myself. Maybe i'm just lazy. how do you do it? am i too much a perfectionist? do i spend too much time preparing photos and what i'm going to blog about, that in the end it doesn't seem worth it? i admire those who update regularly. one day i may be back in the game. hopefully, see you soon! sincerely, gygi

Kid's Yoga is back!!!!

I am so happy that we are bringing Kid's Yoga Back to It's Yoga.

I just love teaching this class. The kids have so much fun and it's so good for them!

our sunday morning...

i love it when we don't have to be anywhere and we can snuggle in bed and watch cartoons!!! the boys gathered some friends to join us. before we turned on the tv on it was so nice too. dan had gotten up already and drew and i were sleeping. aiden quietly came in the room and crawled up with us. i was in the middle of these two sweeties. it was heaven!

inspired...

so, i've been crying and laughing for about an hour now.

i've been catching up with nienie and her recovery.

i've never met the woman, but one day i hope to.

what an incredible person she is.

ironically i posted about her almost exactly a year ago.

reading her stories about her life and what her and her family and friends have experienced and overcome over the last year is incredibly inspiring and humbling.

Her stories of her kids, especially her little guys reminds me so much of my boys and i admire her and the way she raises her children.

i'm not sure why i'm sharing this.

maybe because dan's not home yet and i want to tell someone how amazing nienie is. or maybe i want to share her story with those who haven't met her, like me,

who i know will fall in love with her too???
